Citywide Health providing COVID vaccination service from Burnholme Sports Centre
Citywide Health, York’s independent pharmacy group, is working with Burnholme Sports Centre to deliver COVID vaccinations to patients in York and the surrounding area. Citywide Health and their volunteers will now be vaccinating eligible patients in our main sports hall on Mondays and Fridays from the 7th January.
The NHS is now offering a booster vaccine dose to everyone aged 18 years old and over in line with the latest government guidance. In addition to all over 18s, those in the following groups are also eligible for a booster three months from the date of their second dose and one month before their eligibility date:
- people who live and work in care homes
- frontline health and social care workers
- people aged 16 and over with a health condition that puts them at high risk of getting seriously ill from COVID-19
- people aged 16 and over who are a main carer for someone at high risk from COVID-19
- people aged 16 and over who live with someone who is more likely to get infections
Citywide Health will now be vaccinating eligible patients in our main sports hall on Mondays and Fridays from Friday 7th January
- Booster doses are available for people aged 16+ andcan be booked online at nhs.uk
- Walk-in service for people aged 12+ who have not yet had their first dose or second dose.
