Introducing: 'Live Better'
Charitable social enterprise GLL will launch an enhanced digital health and wellbeing platform on 7 January 2026 via its Better_uk App.
'Live Better' - offered free to some 362,000 existing members - will also be available for a monthly £9.50 fee to non-members - giving a convenient at-home wellness option for those who don't live near a Better leisure centre or who don't want to visit a physical location to exercise.
Working out at home increases total exercise frequency - helping people get more movement into their daily routine.
It is hoped Live Better will help hard to reach groups - who struggle to take part in exercise for physical, social or economic reasons - get more active, democratising health and wellbeing.
In a poll* of 2,000 adults conducted by GLL in December 2025, 60% of respondents aged 18-44 said they would use a health and fitness app to help achieve their goals in 2026.
Following a trial/soft launch in December, the national Live Better roll-out will commence on 7 January 2026.
A range of features and added benefits will be available to customers for the first time including:
- on-demand fitness classes and content from Les Mills and Wexer via the My Fit App
- a personal digital health coach - offering habit tracking and behaviour change support around nutrition, movement, sleep, mental wellbeing and more - powered by Holly Health
- virtual health and advice for all members looking to chat through symptoms and next steps
- 24/7 GP consultation and private prescription services for certain membership groups - powered by Abi Health
- a member benefits platform offering discounts from a range of brands and high street retailers plus discounts on GLL services
- additional wellness support and community prescribing from GLL's NHS partners
Live Better will provide customers with access to services that would typically cost much more if purchased separately.
Tom Popsys, GLL Product Lead for Live Better said:

"We're thrilled that our 'Powered by Holly Health' personalised habit coaching service forms a part of the comprehensive package under Live Better."
GLL hopes to use the new platform to reinforce its social enterprise values, reach and engage new audiences and customers, and add value to all membership types - while improving health outcomes.
