Nicola- Hatha/Zen Yoga. Classes are suitable for all levels and beginners are welcome! Yoga increases flexibility and is excellent for toning of the muscles. It increases the lubrication of the joints, ligaments, and tendons. The yoga postures gently stretch muscles and joints as well as massaging the various organs, yoga ensures the optimum blood supply to various parts of the body. We focus on breathing to help calm the mind and nourish the nervous system, allowing the mind and body to reconnect as one. The class always ends with a blissful relaxation, a great way to let go of any stress and tension from your day, also allowing the muscles to relax and restore after the yoga practice.

Moyra-The underlying principles of Zen Yoga - alignment, breath and energy, mindful awareness - are the foundations of MYZEN YOGA, which supports physical health and mental well-being. The style of teaching incorporates what has been gleaned as ‘best practice’ from a wide variety of yoga disciplines.

As a teacher, I guide through demonstration, explanation, and adjustment. Students will be encouraged to work with focus and inner awareness, appreciating the individual journey and sense of self-discovery. The practice is kept fresh by responding to new challenges rather than by competing or striving to achieve unrealistic postures.

Nirmala- I teach Hatha Yoga, focusing on mind and breath as we work. Maintaining the postures as we bring the breath into control. It is suitable for beginners as well as intermediates. Beginners just come out of posture a little earlier. 

Sara-Vinyasa is a dynamic style of yoga. Instead of performing individual exercises with pauses in between, each posture is linked in synchronisation with the inhale and exhale of breath. This creates a build-up of body heat, which helps to loosen the muscles. It means you can go deeper into a stretch than if you were doing the postures in a more traditional way.

Vinyasa is sometimes called ‘flow’ yoga, because of the smooth way that the poses run together, becoming almost like a dance.

Vinyasa yoga can make the body more supple and strong. It can also help calm the mind and improve your overall health and wellbeing.

The 9.15 - 10.15am class on a Monday is quite strong and dynamic, more suitable for students who have a regular practice and want a challenge.

The 10.30 - 11.30am class is a gentler version of the first class more suitable for newcomers, beginners and those recovering from injury.


I teach Hatha yoga with a mixture of static poses and flows, inversions and balances. Breath work and relaxation are also included.

I am also qualified in Astanga yoga, a vigorous cardio vascular flowing yoga, though not currently taught in Chesham at the moment.

Once a month I may teach Yin yoga, a slow quiet softer style, holding poses for longer, great for gently releasing tight connective tissue.

I also hold qualifications for Yoga Bugs- teaching preschool kids yoga and have attended teacher training courses in teaching students with disabilities, yoga nidra- extended focused body awareness and relaxation, meditation and anatomy considerations.

My Pilates is level 3 but I hold extra certificates for Pre and postnatal Pilates and post-menopausal Pilates as well.
