Great news! We have new Combat classes coming to the timetable with Health and Fitness Manager Eloise this month!

Combat is a high energy mixed martial arts workout that is a shadow boxing/non contact class. With the potential to burn and up to 570 calories per hour. You will punch and kick your way through various disciplines to achieve great fitness. It’ll expose you to skills and movements from Karate, Boxing, Taekwondo, Mauy Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu, which overtime will become second nature. It is a fantastic class for beginners, or new gym goers, as it incorporates plenty of regressions and progressions which enable everyone, regardless of age, injury, ability to partake and fulfil a great workout. And for the regulars, there is always room to intensify your workout.

Available as a 45 minute, or 60 minute class, you will leave feeling euphoric and empowered, with a greater understanding for the origins of martial arts and how they are each to their own type of authenticity.

Eloise first tried Combat when she was 16 years old spending weeks at her local gym sitting on the rowers watching people do the class, but without the confidence to book on and try it for herself. Eloise was always keen to try this style of class and as soon as her mom egged her on to do it she soon realised she fell in love with the workout. The first thing she thought after her first time trying combat was “why didn’t I just do this sooner! I spent so many sessions watching where I could’ve been actually doing the class”

Eloise said “The more classes I went to the easier it got and the better I got, I started to add all the songs to a combat playlist using Shazam secretly, so that I could practise outside of class hours also. It got to a point where I could name the track and remember even the choreography! A couple of months after starting combat I was approached and told to give instructing a go! I did it, did my training, exercise to music and now, I teach over 8 times a week doing the thing I love most! Instructing you guys! I haven’t found a passion like it before!”

Keep your eyes peeled on the class timetable. From the 25th April 2022 Eloise will be teaching combat:

Monday nights at: 6:45pm-7:30pm

Wednesday Mornings: 8:30am-9:30am
