Big Swim day at St Austell Leisure Centre
At St Austell Leisure Centre we want our local community to celebrate their love of swimming this February and come and join us for our Big Swim Day on 25th February 2023.
Big Swim Day is an opportunity for everybody to demonstrate their passion for swimming and be given the opportunity to come take a dip at their local Leisure Centre pool. Why do you ask? Because they’re under threat like never before due to rising Energy Prices and a lack of financial support from the Government.
We are encouraging our community to attend their local leisure centre pool and share love for swimming and why the sport is so important to them.
We are so lucky as a community at St Austell to have our swimming pool open seven days a week and we love getting to know our customers and feel their passion for swimming.
Come along and make a splash with us on Saturday 25th February as we are celebrating swimming by hosting a variety of FREE sessions. We will also be holding a FREE taster lesson session for Toddlers.
Along with the Toddler session there will be a Foundation lesson Taster, Swim school assessment and distance challenges for those who are in Swim school and are wanting to achieve their distance badges. Qualified Swim teachers will be on hand throughout the day to help and answer any questions and provide their expert advice.
We also have out local Artistic Swimming Club and Water Polo club offering a FREE session for anyone who may be thinking about joining.
If you are interested in any of these activities please speak to our reception team who will be able to book your spaces onto our sessions we have. Times for the events as follows:-
12.00-13.00 – Paddlers Taster Session 2-3yrs Adult in the Water,
13.00-14.00– Artistic swimming for beginners
13.00- 14:00 – Foundation Taster Session (booking advisable)
14:00 – 15:00 – Water Polo taster
13.00 - 15.00 - Fun distance challenges with badges and certificates to be gained
13.00-15.00 – Swim school assessments
We are also running a Swim for all session for anyone who wants to come along and celebrate with us on how lucky we are to have such a great facility here at St Austell Leisure Centre. Pre booking sessions is advisable. #BigSwimDay #Saveourpools
