Leisure Providers in Cornwall, including GLL, are going to be offering free weekly public swim sessions to help support a countywide project to address one of the main areas of skill development of swimming that has been impacted in a negative way by Covid-19.

Communities that need it most will have the chance to return to swimming through an Active Recovery Fund Project – (Containing Outbreak Management Fund) that is enabling GLL to offer a weekly FREE public swimming session.

Better Cornwall is collaborating with partners Active Cornwall and Cornwall Council to work with GLL centres across the county to open their doors to a 1 hour a week free swim session.

Centre timings of their free sessions will vary so please visit your local centres webpage for details of day, times and start dates.

Truro Leisure Centre are offering their free hour on Sunday’s between 11am and 12noon starting on the 17th October 2021.

To book your session please either book through the website or the App by selecting the Swimming tile, Swim For All and then when you search for Sunday at 11am you will see a Swim For Free option with two entry times of 11:00am and 11:10am. Please book the number of tickets you require for your group including tickets for U3’s. Of course you are more than welcome to turn up at the centre but we are expecting these sessions to be popular so please check spaces before attending.
