National Fitness Day 2025
National Fitness Day is coming to Workington to celebrate the importance of physical activity, whether it's getting out by yourself or grabbing some friends.
What is National Fitness Day?
National Fitness Day is an annual campaign led by ukactive that highlights the role that physical activity plays across the UK, helping to raise awareness of its importance in supporting us to lead healthier lifestyles.
Having started back in 2011, National Fitness Day has seen millions get involved each year, and while bringing people together through physical activity has a hugely positive impact, the campaign has evolved to encourage everyone to view this day as just one step in a much bigger journey.
This year’s tagline, “Powered by you!” marks a fresh direction — placing you at the heart of the movement.
National Fitness Day isn’t just about one day of activity, but about taking small, lasting steps toward a healthier, stronger future.
Last year NFD inspired more than 10 million people across the UK to get more active!
So how are we participating?
We are hosting loads of great activities that you can be apart of, from calming classes to good ol' group sessions - we have activities all of the family can take advantage of...don't believe us? Just take a look below!
- Gym Taster Sessions that run through the whole day
- National Fitness Day Strength & Conditioning Masterclass - with Ben for some Circuits and Legs Bums & Tums at 6.15am
- National Fitness Day Dance Masterclass - Dance with Danielle at 10.30am
- National Fitness Day Group Fitness Masterclass - with Ben at 12pm
- National Fitness Day Cardio Masterclass - join Les and Jamie for some Group Cycle and HIIT training at 6.15pm
- National Fitness Day Mind & Body Master Class - get in touch with your calmer side with Katy at 7.15pm
