Gym Refurbishments - Gateshead

We’re excited to announce that all leisure centres across Gateshead will soon be receiving fantastic gym upgrades.

Over the coming weeks and months, each gym will be equipped with brand-new Technogym machines, featuring a complete replacement of the current cardiovascular, fixed resistance, and strength training equipment. These enhancements are part of our ongoing commitment to providing you with the best possible fitness experience.

We’re also pleased to share that the gym refurbishment at Gateshead International Stadium is now complete, with just a few decorating touches remaining. Enjoy the refreshed gym and state-of-the-art equipment designed to elevate your workouts.

While the gym improvements of the remaining Gateshead centres are underway, there will be some temporary closures. We’ll do our best to keep any disruption to a minimum. Please see the remaining closure and reopening dates for each centre below:

 

 

 

Blaydon Leisure Centre

- Closed from 14th July

- Reopens 21st July

 

Dunston Leisure Centre

- Closed from 21st July

- Reopens 28th July

 

Heworth Leisure Centre

- Closed from 28th July

- Reopens 4th August

 

During the closure periods, customers are welcome to use other leisure centres across both Gateshead and Newcastle.
