Gym Refurbishments - Gateshead

We’re excited to announce that all leisure centres across Gateshead will soon be receiving fantastic gym upgrades.

Over the coming weeks, each gym will be equipped with brand-new Technogym machines, featuring a complete replacement of the current cardiovascular, fixed resistance, and strength training equipment. These enhancements are part of our ongoing commitment to providing you with the best possible fitness experience.

We’re also pleased to share that the gym refurbishments at Gateshead International Stadium, Blaydon Leisure Centre, and now also at Dunston Leisure Centre are complete. You can now enjoy fully refreshed gyms with state-of-the-art equipment - each designed to elevate your workouts and support your fitness goals.

While gym improvements at Heworth Leisure Centre are still on the way, there will be a temporary gym closure at the centre. We’ll do our best to keep any disruption to a minimum. Please see the gym closure and reopening dates for Heworth Leisure Centre below:

- Reopens 4th August

During the closure periods, customers are welcome to use other leisure centres across both Gateshead and Newcastle.
