Water Sports Open Day - Monday 25th August

Following the success of previous Water Sports Open Days, we will be holding another one on the 25th August to coincide with the August bank holiday.

On the day we will be offering a range of free activities, which are available for children aged 8 years and above and families.

These exciting activities will take place from 10am to 3pm on the day and will include the opportunity to try a kayaking group session or a sailing ride around the reservoir. 

The event will also include free lunch snacks for participants that will be served during a break in the session from 12pm-12.30pm.

Attendance at the event will work on a first come first served basis on the day of the event, so no pre booking is available. Doors will open at 9.45am. This is so that the activity is as accessible as possible.

Please note, the activities are aimed at providing an opportunity for those living locally to West Reservoir to access the water. We will not turn away anyone coming from further afield but we would ask everyone to be considerate of whether they are able to access the facilities on another day.

There will also be the opportunity for young people to sign up to a free 6 week course in either sailing or paddling, which will take place in the weeks after the open day. For more information on how to sign your child up to this course, ask staff of the day.
