HIIT (High-intensity interval training) is a form of interval training, alternating short bursts of intense cardiovascular exercise with less intense recovery periods.

Training in this way spikes the heart rate and ‘shocks’ the body into the fat burning zone each time you move into a high intensity phase. And the results are impressive.
