International Women's Day
International Women's Day (IWD) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.
Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated. Together we can forge women's equality. Collectively we can all #EmbraceEquity.
For this International Women’s Day, on Wednesday 8 March 2023, the theme is #EmbraceEquity and we’ll be targeting women of all ages in the borough to take part in activities at Chelsea Sports Centre during the day.
At Chelsea Sports Centre women and girls over 18 years old can book to try any of the free classes,– perfect to meet other women in the local area, or to enjoy catching up with a friend.
