Dementia includes a set of symptoms that may include memory loss and difficulties with thinking, problem-solving, or language. These changes are often small to start with, but for someone with dementia they have become severe enough to affect daily life.

A person with dementia may also experience changes in their mood or behaviour, but you can support them.

Many of us worry about ‘saying the wrong thing' to someone with dementia, yet a friendly face or listening ear can make the world of difference.

In support of Dementia Action Week (20-26th May), Better is teaming up with Alzheimer's Society to provide an informative awareness session at Flaxman Sports Centre. Please join our Dementia Champion, 1-2pm on Wednesday 22nd May, to find out more about dementia and the small things you can do to make a world of difference to those with dementia.
