Over eighty Lambeth school children from years 3 – 6 took part in the end of term school football tournament delivered by Sportsfusion on Friday 15th October at Ferndale Community Sports Centre.Sportfusion who deliver football and fitness sessions in local schools across London have worked in partnership with BETTER Ferndale for a number of years delivering successful fun but competitive competitions which are also used to promote further opportunities in physical activity across the borough.

Schools who competed in the competition included;

  • Immanuel St Andrew
  • Bonneville
  • St Annes
  • Belham
  • Streatham Wells
  • St Stephen
  • Immanuel St Andrew
  • St Bernadettes
  • Van Gogh
  • Corpus Christi
  • Camelot

The overall winners were St Bernadettes from years 3/4 and 5/6 with close runners up Immanuel St Andrew from years 3/4 and Camelot from years 5/6.

A trophy was awarded to the winning team along with medals and runners up received certificates for their achievements. St Andrews were awarded ‘Fair Play’ medals donated by the BETTER Ferndale management team.
