On Sunday 8th March 2026, our centres will proudly celebrate 115 years of International Women's Day (IWD) - a global movement dedicated to recognising the achievements of women and accelerating progress towards equality.

While many may see it as simply a day to celebrate the wonderful women in our lives, International Women’s Day represents so much more. It is a powerful reminder of the strides made in equality, diversity and inclusion - and the work that still lies ahead. IWD shines a spotlight on women’s voices, women’s stories, and the importance of creating opportunities where women and girls feel empowered, heard and supported.

Moving Together This IWD

To mark the occasion, we are hosting a range of special sessions across our sites, designed to encourage more women and girls to become - and stay - active in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment.

These sessions aim to inspire confidence, build community, and celebrate the strength and wellbeing of women through movement.

Who can take part?

Everyone! (Over the age of 16)

International Women’s Day is a day for all. While we celebrate women’s achievements, we also recognise the vital role that allies play in driving positive change. Together, we can help champion equality and empower the women and girls in our communities.

Wear the colours of IWD

We encourage all members and visitors to wear purple, green and white on Sunday 8th March. These colours originated from the women’s suffrage movement and have since been widely adopted as the official colours of International Women’s Day.

Whether you’re joining one of our tailored IWD sessions, heading to the gym, or supporting from the sidelines - show your colours and help us mark this important day.

Bring a friend – free Taster sessions

Why not invite friends and family to experience one of our sessions for free? It’s a fantastic opportunity to try something new, stay active together, and enjoy the supportive atmosphere within our centres.
