Our Class of the Month goes to the Amazing Tanya, who teaches Dance Fitness Every Thursday at 7:15pm. Tanya started teaching 6 weeks ago, but all her classes are well attended, she is very passionate about teaching/Dancing and this clearly feeds through her classes and she keeps getting more members coming to her class. We are so grateful Tanya teaches here at Better Gym East Village and if you have not tried her class yet, give it a go, you will really enjoy it.

A message from Tanya;

I have loved dancing since I was little and I train in various styles of dance from Latin to Argentine Tango, Reggaeton to Jive.

I teach Zumba and Dance Fitness because I love the energy and joy this brings to men and women of all ages, especially people who think they can’t dance!

Once you get over the fact that no one in the room is watching or judging your moves (they’re all concentrating on their own), you’ll let go, lose inhibitions and have a great work out!

Everyone who enjoys music of various styles and who just wants to move to a beat will enjoy these classes as they are a fun way of exercising the mind as well as the body.

Try to follow the steps, feel the music and you won’t even realise you’re building a sweat, burning calories, toning up and boosting your mood all at the same time!

I play a wide variety of tunes from pop to salsa, bachata to Afrobeats, Soca to Reggaeton, and do routines which are easy to follow and fun to dance but there’s always scope to level up too.

Music is medicine and movement is life, dance is soul food. Anyone who attends regular dance fitness classes will see dramatic positive changes in their physical and mental health but most importantly have a fab time!
