Brand new gym equipment is on it's way!

We'd like to thank you for your patience as we work to make Hough End Leisure Centre even better. We’re making the finishing touches to our fantastic two storey extension which will open later next month.

As part of this huge investment we're delighted to let you know that brand new gym equipment is on its way. To enable the old kit to be removed and the all the new pieces to be installed, we’ll need to temporarily close the gym from 10pm on Tuesday 30th April and we’ll re-open at 5pm on Friday 3rd May.

Please note: All other facilities including the pool, fitness studio, squash courts and health suite will continue to remain open during this time.

Keeping our community moving

We're committed to the health and well-being of everyone in our community, so during the temporary gym closure you'll be able to use any of our other gyms across Manchester. Your nearest alternative centres are Moss Side Leisure Centre, Whalley Range Sports Centre and Manchester Aquatics Centre.

We'll be in touch again very soon once we have a confirmed opening date for the new extension. You’ll soon find:

• A new programmable gym space
• New gym equipment throughout
• Extended fitness class programme
• Dedicated changing rooms for our outdoor pitch customers
• A new multi-functional room for fitness classes, recreational activities, functions, meetings and community events
• A bar and outdoor balcony area 

We're also pleased to let you know that an additional 84 car parking spaces are now available for customers along with five new bike shelters plus we're making available additional storage alongside the artificial pitches.
