Adult Swimming Lessons
Swimming is a skill that everyone should learn, regardless of age. Our classes are an excellent way to boost your physical and mental health. Moreover, swimming is a low-impact sport that's perfect for people of all ages and fitness levels.
SWIMBiES
Our Swimbies programme offers classes tailored to children between 3 months and 3 years, designed to provide a comprehensive and effective learning experience that instills water confidence for life. As a parent, grandparent, or guardian, you can accompany your child in the pool and witness their first splashes firsthand. Our instructors are highly experienced and certified to deliver infant swimming lessons that are tailored to each child's unique needs, providing expert guidance and support throughout the process.
Our SWIMBiES lesson take part in the warmer teaching pool where our instructors guide the class from the water for an extra splash of fun.
Dippers (3 - 12 months)
During Dippers sessions, we not only teach you and your child water basics but also provide an opportunity for you to bond with your child.

Splashers (12 - 24 months)
Joining Splashers sessions is an excellent opportunity to boost your baby's water confidence while being right by their side.

Paddlers (24 - 36 months)
Our Paddlers' lessons focus on laying a solid foundation and equipping children with the skills necessary to swim independently.

Pre-School (3 - 5 years)
Our Pre-School swim classes aim to build your child's water confidence while teaching them essential swimming skills for safe solo swimming. At this stage, parents are still expected to accompany their child in the water.

- Monday: 3pm-3.30pm
- Tuesdays: 10.30am-11.00am
- Thursday: 11am-11.30am
- Saturday: 11.15am-11.45am
Children's Swimming Lessons
At Tadworth Leisure and Community Centre, we understand the significance of children's swimming lessons as an essential life skill and form of exercise. Our centre offers affordable and comprehensive children's swimming classes for all age groups and skill levels. We acknowledge that every child has a unique learning pace and level of comfort in the water. Therefore, our experienced instructors tailor the lessons to meet each child's individual needs, ensuring that they acquire the necessary skills to stay safe and confident in the water.
Our Development lessons take place in the main pool, while Foundation lessons are split between the teaching pool and the main pool. Non-swimmers are in the teaching pool, and parents are allowed to join their children in the water for all entry-level classes.
Lessons are available throughout the year, running for 48 weeks and lasting 30 minutes each week. Enrollment is open and pupils may join at any point in time.
Foundation (ages 4+)
Our school-aged beginner swimming lessons teach water safety and survival skills in three levels: Red, Amber, and Green. After completion, your child will be able to swim independently for 10 meters and have a basic understanding of all four swimming strokes.
Groups available:
Teaching Pool: Sessions run every 30 minutes on Saturdays from 8.15am to 10.45am
Main Pool: Sessions run every 30 min on Monday to Thursday, from 3.45pm to 6.15pm and on Friday from 3.45pm to 5.45pm
Development (ages 5+)
Our Development classes are for children who can swim 15 meters unaided and focus on refining technique across all four strokes, introducing aquatic sports, and teaching essential water survival and rescue skills. These classes also contribute to achieving Bronze, Silver, and Gold milestone awards.
Groups available:
Teaching Pool: Sessions run every 30 min on Saturdays from 8.30am to 11am
Main Pool: Sessions run every 30 minutes on Monday and Thursday, from 4pm to 6pm and on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4pm to 5.30pm
Academy (children who can swim over 200 meters)
Our Academy classes are the last level of our children's swimming lessons, aimed at empowering them to achieve personal goals and become confident, self-directed swimmers. These classes emphasize advanced safety techniques, such as setting personal targets, junior lifesaving, and personal survival skills, which will help your child thrive.
Groups available: Sessions run every Tuesday and Wednesday, from 6pm-6.45pm

Adult Swimming Lessons is the ultimate programme that is designed to cater all of your swimming needs. Whether you're a novice swimmer seeking to learn the basics, looking to refine your technique, or wanting to enhance your fitness levels, these sessions are here to assist you in making the most of your time in the pool. Better Health UK membership offers inclusive access to these sessions without any cost, whereas those who have monthly or annual membership can access the services by paying a minimal fee of £3. Another option is to pay as you go, which costs £10 per session.
