Birthday Parties

• Administration (booking cancellations & refunds)

Minimum payment for 8 children is required at the time of booking, with the balance of total numbers payment made at least 14 days prior to the date of the party. Please inform the Administrator straight away of any change in numbers. We regret that we will not be able to accommodate any changes made after this period.

The Birthday Party Administrator will require a minimum of 30 days notice in order to cancel your booking. A 15% administration fee will remain payable for any cancellation. Failure to provide 30 days notice may prevent a refund from being issued. In cases of sickness, a full refund, minus the administrative fee will be issued as long as a doctor’s note is provided. Please note we will not provide part refunds for any late cancellations.

Payments can be made by credit or debit card, in person in the centre, or over the phone.

• General Party Rules

All customers should adhere to the Leisure Centres rules, which are displayed throughout the premises.

Customer can bring their own birthday cake, but outside food and drinks are not permitted. Food orders have to be confirmed to the Administrator 14 days prior. Alcohol is not permitted to be consumed on the premises.

The hirer will need to ensure that they have the contact details of all parents or guardians of children in attendance, for use in the event of an emergency.

Please ensure all attendees are aware of the times of the booking. We regret that we will not be unable to alter times or provide extensions to your booking on the day.

GLL cannot accept any liability for the loss, damage or theft of any items. Please take care not to leave belongings behind or unattended, and please do not bring valuables to the centre. Lockers are available and take a £1 coin/token which is refundable.

Use of cameras and video imaging equipment specifically within the party area and used by parents/guardians of children attending the party is permitted with the agreement of the General Manager.

Please arrive for your birthday party up to 15 minutes prior to your allocated time slot to allow time for collection of socks and wristbands.

The party activity will take place on a General Jump session and last 1 hour, including a 15 minutes briefing and a 45 minutes bounce. You will have access to the party room no earlier than 15 minutes from the time of your booking, and for a maximum of 45 minutes after the trampoline session.

The party host will meet the group, prepare them for the bounce session and escort them onto the park explaining each area. Following the bounce, the host will meet them back at the meeting point to take them to the party room for the tea. The host will not stay with the group for the duration of the bounce.

Trampoline parties are suitable for children over 5. The hirer will need to ensure that the adult/child ratio for under 8’s attending the party is adhered to: Children aged 5-7 must be accompanied by a bouncing adult: ratio 1 adult to 10 children. Additional adults who wish to bounce with the children must pay the normal admission fee – it is recommended that you book online and pay in advance for this to ensure availability.

It is important you let us know as soon as possible if any children in your party are under the age of 5 or they may be refused entry. Due to General Jump sessions supervising ratios, 1 adult needs to bounce with each child under 5. Due to sessions limited capacities, the extra adult required to supervise the under 5 will need to book their own entrance ticket separately.

The Administrator will send the General Rules document (trampoline waiver), that the Hirer must sign and bring this with them on the day to hand to a member of the Trampoline Park staff.

Trampoline Park Safety Rules

• Better trampoline socks must be worn when jumping.
• Be mindful and considerate of other jumpers. Do not distract or interrupt others whilst jumping.
• No food or drink in the activity area. Sports style water bottles are allowed.
• No lying down or sitting on trampolines.
• Do not grab any safety pads or safety netting.
• Do not jump or land on the coloured padding.
• Only single flips are permitted. Flips across pads or bed to bed are not allowed.
• No double bouncing (bouncing someone else higher).
• Only one jumper on each trampoline at a time.
• Always land on two feet or your seat.
• No wrestling, racing, tackling or horseplay.
• Do not operate mobile phones, cameras, or similar equipment on trampolines.
• Please wear appropriate clothing; no buckles or studs and we advise you to remove all jewellery. Remove objects from your pockets before jumping.
• The maximum weight permitted for the trampoline park is 21 Stone/133kg. Please note that some features have a lower weight limit and this restriction is highlighted on the entry to the feature.

The party activity will last 1 hour in the soft play. You will have access to the party room no earlier than 10 minutes from the time of your booking, and for a maximum of 45 minutes after the soft play session.

The party host will meet the group and escort them to the soft play area. Following the session the host will meet them back at the meeting point to take them to the party room for the tea. Please note that the host does not stay with the group for the duration of the session.

Please arrive for your birthday party up to 15 minutes prior to your allocated time slot to allow time for collection of skates and wristbands.

The party activity will take place on a Public Skating session and last 1 hour. You will have access to the party room no earlier than 15 minutes from the time of your booking, and for a maximum of 45 minutes after the skating session. If the party includes a skating lesson, this will take place during the first 30 minutes of the session.

The party host will meet the group, prepare them for the skating session and escort them onto the ice rink. Following the session the host will meet them back at the meeting point to take them to the party room for the tea. Please note that the host does not stay with the group for the duration of the skating session.

Skate Safely Rules

All customers must abide by the general centre and ice rink rules. It is a condition of booking that the following Skate Safely Admission Rules are adhere to.

• Parents and guardians of under 8’s and inexperienced skaters under 1.2 metres must be advised of the safety benefits of hiring skating aids, and under 8’s must be accompanied by an adult skater.
• Wear suitable clothing relating to the cold environment. Gloves are advised to reduce hand injuries. No bags or loose clothing to be worn on the ice.
• Do not speed on the ice, skate in an anti-clockwise direction and do not cut across the ice.
• No kicking, digging holes, scraping or stomping the ice with your blades. No chains or linked skaters.
• No recording or photographic equipment is permitted unless authorised by the Manager.
• No headphones/phones on the ice as this inhibit hearing and awareness.

Once you’ve placed your booking online, our team will contact you within 72 hours to confirm any additional children you’d like to include (up to a maximum of 18 children in total -or 12 for Ice Skating Parties With Lesson). It’s important to let us know about any extra children at least 14 days before your party. Unfortunately, we may not be able to accommodate late additions.

Please note:
It’s not possible to pay for extra guests online. Once your additional guests are confirmed with our Party Supervisor, you can make payment in one of two ways:

• Over the phone – Our team will give you a call to arrange card payment. (Please note that our incoming calls are redirected to our Customer Services team, so we’ll be the ones reaching out to you.)
• In person – Visit us at the centre to pay at reception. (We're a cashless facility and only accept card payments.)

To help us process your request quickly, please include the following details: your Full Name, your Order Number (if available), or the Email Address used to place the booking.

Apart from Exclusive Hires, your party will include a choice of hot or cold food options, provided by our catering partner Franklin's. All menus include a vanilla ice cream pot or ice lolly, unlimited squash and water.

Menu choice will have to be confirmed with the Party Administrator by email to LinkBirthdayParties@gll.org after online booking has been made, and no later than 14 days prior the date of the booking. 

If we do not hear from you regarding your preferred options, we'll order by default a menu consisting of cold cheese sandwich and vanilla ice cream. If extra children have not been added to the party before the cut-off period, we regret we won't be able to add last minute food orders.

Menu:

Hot food option consists of 4 pizza slices per child. Toppings available:

• pepperoni
• margarita

Cold food option consists of a sandwich + a small snack (fruit/yogurt/crisps). Fillings available:

• ham
• ham & cheese
• cheese

It is important you let us know of any allergies/dietary requirements so we can inform our catering partner. We regret we're unable to modify pizzas to suit dietary requirements but can make sandwich boxes gluten/dairy free. (Replacement options can be: vegan butter, vegan cheese or jam. Yoghurt can be replaced by vegan jelly.)

Unless you have booked an Exclusive Hire of the Soft Play Party, outside food is not permitted, but we're happy for customers to bring their own birthday cakes.

Please remember to bring your own cake cutting knife and lighter/matches to light up candles as we're unable to provide these. We regret we do not have a fridge available to keep cakes in.

If your guests have special dietary requirements or allergies, please inform the team at the time of booking.

We do not provide decorations and customers are welcome to bring their own.

Pins and tape are not allowed to be used on the party rooms’ walls, but blue tack can be used instead.

Please refrain from using confetti’s party poppers or piñatas.

We do not provide entertainment. Your party host will welcome your group and escort them around the facilities, and from the activity area to their party room.

Your host and party room will not be available any earlier than 10 minutes prior to the time of your booking.

We regret we are not able to offer multi-activity parties.

Party rooms are not available to book outside of Better Birthday Party packages.

Likewise, we do not provide a private area (party room or else) for parties to take place outside of our party packages offer.

We regret we're unable to provide a room for VR parties booked with Active Realities.

Our sessions tickets for General Jump, Soft Play and Public Ice Skating, are available to book online and in centre from 14 days prior, from the time of the session. We regret we're unable to accommodate bookings any earlier.
