A big thank you from the team here at Abbey Meadows for all that visited the refurbished facility this summer!
With the colder weather and the shorter days now upon us, the scorching summer feels like a distant memory.
The pool, which re-opened to the public on 16th June hosted a record breaking 31,424 swimmers during the summer season.
The council’s records for attendance date back to 1980 when 18,322 swimmers used the pool. The last comparable season was 2014 when 11,055 swimmers enjoyed the facility. It was great to see that so many people enjoyed using the refurbished facility this summer.
We look forward to 2019 and hopefully another record breaking summer.
