Your Local Leisure Centre offering Warm Spaces this Winter

Gosling Sports Park and Hatfield Leisure Centre have  been designated a Warm Space by GLL this winter.

The initiative has been set up in response to this winter’s cost of living crisis, with many residents in Welwyn/Hatfield feeling the pressures of increased energy costs having to choose between heating and eating this winter. Our warm space will try to ensure that anyone in our community has a place to go that’s warm, welcoming and gives people the opportunity to socialise, have a hot shower and a free drink. 

Local residents will be able to keep warm, charge a phone and enjoy a friendly chat over a cuppa with our new Warm Spaces Scheme. Feel free to drop-in during the times below and enjoy the company of your community. We'll also be able to sign post to local leisure and sport activities available at the centres.

Centre – Hatfield Leisure Centre

Location - Lobby Area

Days - Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday

Times - 11am-3pm

Centre – Gosling Sports Park

Location - Studio

Days - Weekdays

Times - 2pm-4pm

Throughout the winter months, all members of the local community will be welcomed by our staff to use our ‘Warm space’ where you can get a hot drink, chat with friends or just sit and read a book.
