Changing Village Upgrade!
We are delighted to announce that we are making a much needed upgrade to our Swimming Pool Changing Village.
Starting Friday 18th August, lasting approximately 2 weeks, the swimming pool changing village will be partially closed for these works to take place. The toilet and shower areas will be still be accessible, as will some of the family changing cubicles and single changing cubicles.
When works have completed, the changes will include:
- Brand new ceiling grids
- Lockers will have a brand new look
- Cubicles will have a brand new look
- We are adding a designated buggy park. No more buggies or prams will be taken on to poolside. This should also limit the unwanted tyre tracks going through the changing village
- Completion of tile painting around the entire area
- The introduction of a complete shoe free zone! This will also help to sustain the cleanliness around the changing village floor.
Once the works in the changing village are completed, the area will be a completely shoe free zone. A brand new seating area is being installed just inside the changing village where you will be able to remove your shoes before entering further into the main changing village area. This is to ensure the changing village can be kept as clean and tidy as possible to give the public the best possible experience of using our facilities.
We hope that our customers, old and new, are able to respect these new rules as we enter a new phase of the upgrading of Hatfield Swim Centre. It is with the support of the Welwyn/Hatfield Council and GLL that these long awaited works are now able to take place.
