Stanborough Park supported the 3rd Hatfield Air Scouts by hosting a Duck Race on the River on the North-side of the Park.

Simone Bothwell - Group Leader, said:

"The Duck Race was a huge success and we raised over £2000 and counting! 36 Explorers and 4 adult volunteers are traveling to the 24th World Scout Jamboree in West Virginia, on July 20th, as Hertfordshire Unit 16 - Wapiti. A huge part of the jamboree journey involves fundraising and a part of that fee goes to support young people who would otherwise be unable to attend both at home and internationally. Attending the jamboree is a once in a lifetime oppertunity for a scout. The theme for the 24th World Scout Jamboree is Unlock a New World. This theme speaks to the new adventures, cultures, and friendships that will be shared by Scouts from around the world the world during the 12-day event in North America.

Thank you for allowing this event to take place! It is a fantastic to have support from our local businesses!"
