Rehabilitation through exercise at Better Llanishen Leisure Centre

Unlike conventional exercise equipment, Innerva’s range of exercise equipment does not rely exclusively on muscle power but by an electronic power system enabling you to work passively or actively, depending on your ability. The equipment is perfect for those wanting to:

  • Lose weight
  • Get in shape
  • Improve mobility
  • Tone up
  • Improve strength

As you do not have to provide the motion force, you do not have to overcome inertia in order to use the equipment making it the perfect choice for anyone coming back to exercise after periods of rest or inactivity. This includes the elderly or those with mobility issues.

If you feel intimidated or uncomfortable in a traditional gym environment, the 12 pieces of toning equipment are located away from the main gym so perfect for you to relax and go at your own pace.

The 12 pieces of toning equipment available are Bums and Tums, Fly and Thighs, Hipster, Posture Pullover, Tummy Crunch, Waist Away, Ab Pullover, Chest and Legs, Cross Cycle, Seated Climber, Side Bend Stepper, Tricep Dip and Leg Curl.

The equipment can also be used to manage and rehabilitate those living with conditions such as MS, Fibromyalgia and post stroke.

Have you been meaning to lose a few inches, increase your fitness level or just tone up but don’t feel like the gym is right for you?

Do you want to be more active and have fun while you’re doing it? If so, the new Innerva suite, as seen on national ITV News at Better, Llanishen Leisure Centre may be perfect for you.

How does it work?

Our new suite uses power assisted exercise equipment. This means that you don’t have to rely solely on your muscles for the exercise to be effective.

Each machine targets different muscle groups. Simply spend a little time on each machine and in just 30 minutes you will begin to feel the results. You work with the machines, not against them! No special clothing is required, come as you are and start shaping up!
