Join us at St Austell Leisure Centre 29th July & Bodmin Leisure Centre 31st July
We have some free opportunities for people to bring along their bikes to two of our leisure centre, where they will be look over by professional bike mechanics.
Better Communities Team, have been working with its partner The Cornwall Bicycle Project for over 12 months. In that time we have been able to engage with many individuals and groups, to mend bikes, learn to ride, and even have some group ride outs.
At both of our centres, Bodmin and St Austell, there have been days were people have been able to bring their bikes in to the centre, and mechanics from The Cornwall Bicycle, have given bikes a once over. Checking out tyres, brakes, saddles and gears. All to get bikes road worthy again, and to encourage people to use them more.
With the summer holidays now upon us, we thought we would put on another couple of dates so you can bring along your bikes and get them ready to ride out over the summer months.
With the help of funding from Active Travel England and Cornwall Council, we are able to fund these sessions, so you will not need to pay.
We have MOT / Fix It Sessions on the following days in July:
Venue: St Austell Leisure Centre
Date: Tuesday 29th July
Time: 10am - 1pm
Venue: Bodmin Leisure Centre
Date: Thursday 31st July
Time: 10am-1pm
We are encouraging people to book their bikes in to ensure we have time in which to check over and fix any repairs.
