Wednesday 20th September 2023 is National Fitness Day, a day designed to not only bring people together to aid in supporting physical health through exercise, it is a day to show how important exercise is for your mental health.

The aim for this year’s National Fitness Day, rather than being a one and done event, is to be the stepping off point for a long term fitness journey, as #YourHealthIsForLife

Around the UK, Better is offering a free fitness class or swim session in each centre, available to members and non-members alike for #FitnessDay

Your local Better centres have something for everyone to try:

The Cleator Moor Activity Centre is offering a free Gym Workout from 12.00pm-2.00pm.

Regular exercise benefits your health, mind and body. Gym workouts boost your energy, increase lean muscle mass, decrease your risk for certain health conditions and help you manage your weight, but it also improves your mood and enables you to live longer.
