More families than ever are turning to local food banks for support this winter. Many are facing impossible choices between heating their homes and putting meals on the table, community donations are becoming a lifeline.

To help meet this growing need, Better Barnet has reintroduced food bank collection points at our Barnet Copthall and Burnt Oak Leisure Centres, making it easier than ever for people to give back.

We’re asking for your help to bring donations in so we can help those who need it the most.

If you’re able to spare even one item, eg - a tin of soup, a bag of pasta, toiletries or baby essentials, it can make a real and immediate difference to someone struggling this winter.

How you can help:

Drop off your items at either Barnet Copthall or Burnt Oak Leisure Centre during opening hours

Donate as little or as much as you can, every single item counts

Please donate an item or two from the list below:

  • Milk (UHT or powdered)
  • Fruit Juice (long life)
  • Soup
  • Pasta sauces
  • Tinned tomatoes
  • Tinned vegetables
  • Cereals
  • Tinned rice pudding
  • Tea bags/instant coffee
  • Tinned/instant potatoes
  • Rice/pasta
  • Tinned meat/fish

Thank you for continuing to support your local food banks.
