GREAT WINTER GET TOGETHER AT KENTISH TOWN

The winter period is a difficult time for many and Great Winter Get Together events are positive spaces where people can connect with others in their community. Winter doesn’t have to be lonely. From 12-15 January 2024, Great Winter Get Together events will be places where people can go to find meaningful connection and community, inspired by Jo Cox.
To support this initiative, we are extending our ‘Warm Spaces’ offer. On Friday 12th January, 11am to 1pm, we will be offering an additional Warm Space session at Kentish Town Sports Centre. Visitors will receive a warm welcome, comfortable seating, free WiFi plus the chance to charge their phone and portable devices. Visitors will also be able to enjoy free tea, coffee and biscuits as well as centre tours and free health checks.
Better has joined the national Warm Welcome Campaign, a movement for good that exists to turn poverty and isolation into warmth and welcome through the power of local warm spaces like ours. Last winter over 7000 Warm Welcome Spaces supported over half a million people across the UK, hosting nearly 2.5 million individual visits, that’s about 150,000 visits a week. We currently offer a Warm Space session at Kentish Town on Wednesdays, 11am to 1pm.
