Cleaning Assistant

GLL is looking for a cleaner to work at the Oasis Sports Centre in Camden. You’ll be enthusiastic and hard-working with a real attention to detail as you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of the centre, including the open plan female changing rooms. Our leisure centres can be very busy, so you’ll need to thrive in this setting. Adhering to Health and Safety requirements and regulations are crucial, so you’ll need to be hard working and conscientious to carry out all duties to meet our high customer care standard.

Ideally, you’ll have experience of cleaning in a busy working environment with good customer care skills and knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Heath). If you don’t yet have it, we’ll provide full training on how to use appropriate machinery and chemicals.

Lifeguards

GLL is looking for a Lifeguard to work at Oasis Sports Centre. If you have the skills and ambition to join us as a Lifeguard, there's never been a more exciting time to join us. This is more than a Lifeguard job, it's a career.  
 
A lifeguard's job can't be underestimated, and neither can the responsibility that comes with this vital lifeguarding role if you're calm under pressure, highly responsible and natural with people from all walks of life, this is your chance to develop as a lifeguard.
 
As a lifeguard, your passion for swimming and love of great customer service will shine through when supervising our customers in the pool, as well as supporting the team in keeping our centres clean and tidy.

  • Ideally, you'll have your National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) with up to date NPLQ training records and if not the NPLQ training can be provided subject to passing a swim test.
What you’ll do:

  • Supervising and cleaning the pool area 
  • Setting up equipment  
  • Deliver first-class customer service 
  • Deal with customer queries 
  • When not poolside you will be a key support to your team on a daily basis from preparing studios, gyms or for various activities to the general cleaning and upkeep of the centre.

Concierge
 
GLL is looking for a Concierge team member based at Oasis Sports Centre in Camden.  If you have the passion for people needed to deliver a first-class customer experience, this is your chance to become the friendly face of a busy leisure centre.
 
As Concierge team member, you’ll enjoy making a difference to every person who walks through our doors – be it with your warm welcome or through selling them a membership to enhance their lifestyle. Often a customer’s first port of call, you’ll answer the phone, deal with transactions, handle any queries and even go out into the community on outreach projects – all with a smile on your face and our support behind you. We’ll also look to you to respond to enquiries and of course, convert them into membership sales. From providing team support to the warmest of welcomes, your focus will be on ensuring our customers receive the best possible service.
 
Good IT, literacy, numerical and communication skills are vital for this customer service role – combined with the ability to quickly get up to speed on our services and systems. We’re also looking for a Concierge team member with experience of administration, cash handling and ideally working with membership, booking and Direct Debit systems, as well as a can-do attitude that shines through all you do. Thriving in a team and learning new skills, you’ll confidently deal with customers with tact and sensitivity too.
