Edmonton Leisure Centre hosts first-ever Open Weekend
Here at Edmonton Leisure Centre, we recently hosted our very first Open Weekend, offering a fantastic opportunity for the local community to explore our facilities, meet the team, and take part in a wide range of activities designed for all ages and interests.
Families with young children were welcomed into our Soft Play sessions, where little ones could climb, crawl, and play in a safe and stimulating environment. Alongside this, we offered Arts & Crafts, giving children the chance to get creative, express themselves, and take home their colourful creations, a lovely way to fuel imagination and encourage hands on fun!
For those looking to get active, our gym challenges provided a light-hearted way to test fitness levels and try something new. There was something for everyone to try, whether you were a regular gym-goer or just curious to give it a go.
Our Social Badminton sessions were a real highlight for many, offering a relaxed and friendly space to pick up a racket, rally with others, and enjoy the game at your own pace. No pressure, just play — and plenty of laughs along the way.
To keep everyone refreshed, we served up fresh smoothies throughout the day, packed with fruit and flavour. And for those with a sweet tooth, our cheeky cupcakes were a popular treat, adding a little indulgence to the day.
We also ran Adult and Junior Gym sessions, with our instructors on hand to guide participants through different workouts. Our team was available to answer any Health & Fitness questions, and we offered free health checks to support wellbeing and encourage healthy habits.
If you didn’t get a chance to try everything — don’t worry! Our doors are always open, and we’d love to welcome you back soon to explore more of what we offer.
