Huge congratulations to Glenn Kuma-Mintah who won Performance Coach of the Year, and Sangeeta Arora, who won Official of the Year, at this year's Middlesex LTA Awards!

Glenn is the Head Coach of his own coaching buisness, GKM. "In 2021 Glenn successfully launched his tennis academy as part of Gunnersbury Park LTC. This has proven to be extremely successful with Glenn managing to consistently deliver a highly successful coaching programme, despite a period of major change. This new and autonomous environment  has enhanced further the success of his players."

"He continues to produce international and national juniors and has a successive group of younger players, elevating through the ranks, who are aspiring to follow in the footsteps of their older peers.  His innovative and individual approach, combined with his high energy levels has made him a highly sought after coach and this nomination is well deserved."

Glenn has also helped GLL launch their own beginner tennis lesson programme in February 2022, with the help of his coaches, for children aged 6+ who are just getting started with the sport.

Sangeeta, a very experienced coach and tennis official, has run 39 individual tournament events between September 2021 and April 2022, with over 400 players - both junior and adults - taking part in the events. Age ranges for the tournaments varied from 8 years and under, to adult leagues. "For Sangeeta, the best part of officiating is seeing players gain confidence, develop their skills and love of their game through taking part in matches and tournaments."

Her tournaments have helped raise the awareness and reputation of the courts at Gunnersbury Park Sports Hub and we enjoy seeing players from all age ranges having the chance to compete and and we look forward to hosting more of her tournaments over the summer months.
