Strengthen your knees with Orly!

Did you know that to help strengthen your knees you actually have to train them in their most vulnerable position and by doing so performing the exercises with a full range of movement? Orly’s Power Pump class incorporates movements that strengthen your body from the ground upward.  In time, reduces any further risk of injury or pain. By Strengthening the muscles that support your knee it will help reduce stress on the knee joint, and everyday tasks such as going up or down the stairs will become less straining and easier to carry out. Strong muscles in the front of our thighs (known as quadriceps) and the back of our thigh (hamstring) help the knee joint to absorb shock. The less strain on the knee the better the chances are for pain relief and preventing further injury.

To help with the above, we have added a perfect midweek fitness strength and cardio combo every Wednesday morning at 9:15am, we start with a whole metabolic conditioning class using weights and steps to strengthen and tone all areas of the body. This incorporates a whole body workout with exercises varying from Squats, lunges, deadlifts, shoulder presses, barbell rows and many more, to really get those muscles working! To complete your morning with an added bonus, we also have a 10:20am short Combat style class which will elevate your heart rate and leave you feeling fit and invigorated. This cardiovascular exercise class will be beneficial for burning calories and fat, and also helps relieve stress, and working on your body co-ordination while doing so. Additionally, it will aid muscle toning and improve agility. Not convinced yet? Come down and give it a try! All levels are welcome.
