ATHLETE OF THE MONTH – FEBRUARY 2020

We are pleased to announce that the February Athlete of the Month winner is Atl Ongay-Perez (Figure Skating) who, along with his partner returned from their competition in Torun at the beginning of January with a Bronze Medal, making them Britain’s youngest most successful ice dance couple on the international stage this year. This is their 4th consecutive medal in as many international competitions. So far this season, they have consistently returned from all these events having achieved a place on the podium. The pair achieved very good personal best scores on their Pattern Dances, the Fourteen Step and the Tango where they placed 6th & 4th.  Their vivacious and rhythmical performance in the Free Dance to an Aretha Franklin medley where they came first increased their final score and saw them win the Bronze Medal.  Their last competition this season will be the Bavarian Open in Oberstdorf, Germany. Afterwards they will be moving up a level to ‘Advanced Novice’.
