This National Fitness Day, Wednesday 24th September. The leisure centres across the borough will be offering a variety of activities for people to try.

National Fitness Day is an annual campaign by ukactive that shines a spotlight on the importance of physical activity in helping us all lead healthier, happier lives.

Since it began in 2011, millions of people across the UK have taken part each year. While the day is about coming together through movement, the campaign is also a reminder that this is just one step in a bigger journey toward long-term health and wellbeing.

This year’s theme, “Powered by You!”, puts the focus on you — celebrating the power we all have to take small, lasting steps toward a stronger, healthier future.

Whether it’s trying a new activity, joining a class, or simply moving more in your daily routine, National Fitness Day is the perfect chance to get started.
