OX Bike checks at Glass Mill Leisure Centre
In partnership with XO Bikes Glass Mill Leisure Centre will be hosting FREE bike health checks. The sessions will run the first Tuesday of every month starting on Tuesday 4th November. The bike health checks will take place between 2.30pm and 6pm.
The bike checks will take place in the atrium at Glass Mill Leisure Centre or on the outside space next to reception weather dependent. Look out for the XO Bikes banner when you arrive.
A bit about XO Bikes: We are a bike shop with a difference. We exist to break the cycle of reoffending in the criminal justice system, by training and employing prison leavers to become work-ready bike mechanics. All the bikes we refurbish are donated and all the profits we make in our bike shop goes back to funding our training programme, so we can support more prison leavers. For more information about XO Bikes and the work they do visit https://xobikes.com/about-us/
They are also offering people 10% off any further servicing your bike may need at the shop in Lewisham High Street 212 Lewisham High Street, SE13 6JP. They also work with many ride to work schemes if you want to speak to them about making cycling part of your commute.
All of our leisure centres across the borough have cycle racks and are easily accessible on bike and via public transport, so why not make cycling part of your workout. Green travel isn’t just good for the planet it’s good for you too.
Whether you use your bike for your daily commute, or whether it’s something you use more socially, or if it’s lived in a shed for a while. Why not pop down to Glass Mill Leisure Centre on Tuesday 4th November for a quick tune up, just look out for the OX bikes banner.
