On Wednesday 1st February the Better run leisure centres across the borough will be running additional activities throughout the day to keep your child occupied whilst the schools are closed due to the national teachers strike.

Across the borough of Lewisham the centres are offering additional family swimming sessions (Swim for All), junior gym sessions, adult and child gym sessions as well as junior classes.

Some schools are still open and if they are due to have their school swimming lessons then they will go ahead as normal. Please check with your school for further information.

So you if are stuck for something to do on Wednesday 1st February then why not visit your nearest Better run leisure centre. With further strikes planned throughout February and March we will amend our timetables to ensure there is something on offer for you and your family.

For younger children Bellingham Leisure and Lifestyle Centre and Wavelengths Leisure Centres also have soft plays available, which can also be booked online and via our Better UK.

All centres listed above have cafes, Wi-Fi and seating areas available, so if you need space to do you school work between activities the leisure centres are the place this for you this Wednesday
