Free swimming for over 65's
Our local Merton Leisure centres will be supporting the London Borough of Merton in offering free swimming for residents aged 65+. Having previously offered free swimming for children under 16, ensuring every child can swim for free for an hour per, the London Borough of Merton has expanded its efforts to residents of Merton over the age of 65. This inclusive approach ensures that individuals of all age groups can benefit from free swimming in Merton.
In bid to solidify its reputation as London's Borough of Sport, The London Borough of Merton has introduced a fantastic opportunity for local residents aged 65 and over. Residents can now enjoy free swimming during dedicated weekday morning sessions at Canons Leisure Centre, Morden Leisure Centre and Wimbledon Leisure Centre & Spa. This initiative not only promotes physical fitness but also strengthens the sense of community and well-being among older residents in Merton.
Our over 65+ swimming sessions will embody a great mix of low-impact exercise, having fun and socialising. Lanes will be available across the pool during these sessions for a range of speeds and abilities
Booking members and Leisure Centre members can book to attend the free swimming sessions during the designated times and locations displayed below. Booking member accounts are completely free but an account will need to be created in order to book your session. Booking accounts can be set up on our website, via downloading the Better UK app or you can head down to your local leisure Centre.
