Sutton Gymnastics Academy Medal Haul!
Over 80 Sutton Gymnastics Academy students took part in a local inter-club competition organised by JGA at Stanley Park High School on Sunday 18th November.
Across the day, three separate competitions took place based on age and ability where SGA gymnasts swept the board.
They achieved eight 6th places, nine 5th places, nine 4th places and ten bronze, 19 silver and 20 gold medal positions.
In addition, they also received 14 trophies for highest score on floor and 11 trophies for highest vault scores.
Students had been practising hard in preparation for this event and for some it was their first time entering a competition. Head Coach Frank Hamilton said, "The dedication and determination of our gymnasts has to be commended along with the hard work of the team. We are immensley proud of their achievements and are a very, very proud bunch of coaches!".
The team are now busy preparing for their Winter Showcase, which is an opportunity for students to come together and showcase newfound skills to parents and carers.
