Better Active Aqua at Arcadia Leisure Centre

Arcadia are delighted to see the return of our Better Active Aqua sessions!

Better Active Aqua is a physical activity programme designed to help improve the health and wellbeing of Manchester residents. The programme is a great way to introduce beginners of all ages to swimming sessions or if it's been a while since you've swam, it's a great way to welcome you back to the pool and help you regain your confidence in the water. All sessions are £1.10

FUNQUATICS A fun and play water-based programme designed to help your child be confident and happy in the water from an early age. All the sessions include a sing-a-long, games and the use of play equipment.

WATER WORKOUT Refresh yourself! These invigorating, effective, but low-impact workouts in the water are easy on your joints. Ideal for mobility and stress relief.

AQUA DISCOVERY An exciting range of water based activities, including Aquacise and other fun activities. Equipment such as floats are provided. Suitable for girls aged 11-19 years.

DEMENTIA FRIENDLY A relaxed session for those with dementia, and their carers.

MOTHER & DAUGHTER (5 YEARS +) A female only session. This class will help you and your child work together to improve water confidence and swimming techniques and progression.

MOTHER & CHILD (6 WEEKS – 8 YEARS) A female only session. This class will help you and your child work together to improve water confidence and swimming techniques and progression.
