Join us for Manchester's Senior Club Games

This event aims to bring together those aged 60+ (but we won't turn you away if you're not quite yet 60) to participate in a mixture of sports competitions, giving you the chance to represent your local leisure centre, socialise with like-minded people and get mentally and physically active. Don't worry, you don't have to be amazing at the activity, just willing to take part and represent your team.

What is the Club Games?

Our corporate mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of the communities we operate within through physical activity and sport.

The Club Games first launched in London in 2007 and have grown bigger and better each year!

Last year Manchester held it’s first Senior Club Games with Abraham Moss Leisure Centre winning the overall team trophy. This year, we want to make it bigger and better with more people representing their local centre.

Club Games Schedule & Format

• Schedule & Format - This will be a centre teams competition (but don't worry if you don't attend any of the centres, we will still consider you for a team) consisting of 7 activities. Team members will be allowed to participate in more than one activity dependent on running times and are asked to stay the duration of the event and cheer on the rest of the team when not competing. The awards ceremony will take place at the end of the days activities which include photos! Please note we are also aiming to launch brand new Age Friendly Leisure Standards during the day. This will just be a bonus to learn more about what we are working towards to make our services better for you and all Manchester residents.
• Travel - If you are unable to get to Moss Side Leisure please let us know and we will look at possible solutions to support you.
• Timings - Team registration is from 9:30am with activities starting at 10am. There will be a opportunity to have lunch and the day will conclude with a 3pm presentation.
• Costs - Entrance costs £4.50 per person and can be paid at reception at your chosen leisure centre, once your team entry has been confirmed. The entry fee includes a team t-shirt and light refreshments.
• Lunch – Light refreshments will be provided but if you need something more substantial, please feel free to bring your own packed lunch.
