Harpurhey Swim Club Car Wash - Saturday 3rd September

On Saturday 3rd September between 10.00am and 16.00pm, swimmers from Harpurhey Swim Club, along with centre staff from North City Family & Fitness Centre will be hard at work washing cars in order to raise funds for Harpurhey Swim Club.

We are looking for members of our community to come and support the day and come down and have their cars washed for just £3.00!

Harpurhey Swim Club formed at Harpurhey Swimming baths in 1910 and have been swimming at North City since the centre opened in 2005. They train on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Harpurhey is a competitive club and compete in regional galas between four and five times per year against other aquatic clubs within the area.

As a consequence of the pandemic, the club membership has reduced by almost 50%. The club has to support itself, and things such as medals, pool hire, insurance, awards evenings are all paid out of session fees. 

What the club has coming in does not always cover what needs to go out, and therefore we are looking for your support in bridging that gap.
