We're doing our bit at North City

With the COP26 Conference underway in Glasgow we're taking the opportunity to let you know about some of the schemes and initiatives we're proud to support here at North City Family & Fitness Centre.

• All Staff completed energy and environment training as part of their return to work after the last lockdown. 
  
  
• Pool lights have been overhauled from halogen to LED
  
  
• Our pool cover has been refurbished and upgraded
  
  
• Various energy saving plant has been installed or upgraded including variable speed drives, temperature adjustments and an upgraded Building Management System which allows us greater control and the ability to react to spikes in usage
  
  
• Ground source heat pumps have been installed in in the car park reducing our reliance on gas for heating
  
  
• Solar panels have been installed on the roof introducing renewable energy to the centre for the first time
  
  
• Two members of staff have taken up the ride to work scheme and are now making their way to work by cycling.
