On the 13th of November, four players represented the Lancashire County Boys Under 11 team in the England Squash Inter-County Championships in Sheffield. Three of the team attend the Manchester Squash Academy coaching sessions at the National Squash Centre. One of the players started his squash pathway in a school session and has now represented the county team winning his match against Cumbria.

Reuben first tried squash in November 2021 through his primary school attending squash sessions at the National Squash Centre. These school sessions are delivered in partnership with Rackets Cubed. Rackets Cubed is a charity that delivers an integrated programme comprising squash, STEM education and a healthy nutritious meal as part of weekly activity delivered to local schools. Reuben enjoyed his sessions with school and booked his space on the squash programme. Since then, he has progressed to the invite-only Manchester Squash Academy and entered his first tournament in October.

Reuben is selected to receive the newly launched Manchester Squash Potential Scholarship. The scholarship is a talent identification scholarship offered by the Head Squash Coach to young players to support their development in squash.
