On Wednesday 17th March we welcomed the Vaccination Bus to Newcastle Trampoline Park and Gym.  The purpose of the vaccine bus is to reduce barriers to accessing the Covid vaccine for communities in Newcastle. It aims to reach those who may find it difficult to travel to the large sites and the vulnerable populations such as those who are from ethnic minority backgrounds, homeless or asylum seekers.’

They vaccinated just over 150  people, 104 of which were booked in to attend at our centre.

Emily Fisher, Vaccine Lead for Newcastle GP Services said:

‘It is very much a community effort; the vaccine bus has been running since February and has been a great opportunity to engage with communities across the city, to promote equality of access.’

Following the success of the first visit, the bus returned to the centre for a subsequent surgeries on 30th March and 18th April.

Well done to all of our staff involved in helping to make this happen.
