Health and Wellness Day

Thursday 18th April

We will be hosting our first Health and Wellness day at One NK on the Thursday 18th April from 9.30am to 12.30pm, and you are all invited!!

This will be fantastic opportunity for not just the local community, but also the people of Lincolnshire to find out what services are available to them, gain some insight into local organisations as well as take part in some activity.

We have various partners from local health organisations such as NHS Lincolnshire, Carers First, One You Lincolnshire and Great Northern Physiotherapy to name a few. Each organisation will have a stall, where people will be able to walk up and gain a true insight to what is available and to the staff who work there. We will also be on hand to offer free health checks and offer health advice.

Format of the day

The format of the day will be half the sports hall will have tables for providers to be display their services for the local community. Please feel free to bring posters, banners and anything else you would like to display.

The other half of the sports hall will be set up for education/information/activity sessions delivered by our partners.

All the sessions are completely free to all with no requirement to book.

We will be launching own very own Health Hub in the centre! This newly converted room will be hosting a lot of our partners such as Lincolnshire Cardiac Rehab, Pulmonary Rehab and Great Northern Physiotherapists Osteoarthritis sessions. Not only that but this will also host some of our very own targeted and specialist sessions, such as Cardiac Rehab, Women’s Health, Healthwise circuits as well as corporate health checks and activity.

This also allows us to be able to launch our Health and Community timetable. This timetable will be different to the standard programming and will target specific groups such as, youth, inclusive and older adults. Not only will this show what is going on across the leisure centre venue, but will also show what activities we will be doing out in the local community as well as the activity the Hub Dance Team will be supporting.
