Gym Induction

Before attending their first Junior Gym session, all participants must complete a Junior Gym Induction.

Led by our qualified Level 2 Fitness Instructors, these inductions are held in small groups of up to four juniors to ensure a personal and supportive experience. Each 30-minute session covers everything your child needs to get started safely and confidently in the gym.

During the induction, our instructors will:

Provide essential health and safety guidance

Explain gym etiquette

Demonstrate the equipment that juniors are allowed to useInstruct on how to use the equipment safely and correctly

The Junior Gym Induction is designed to give young members the knowledge and confidence they need to enjoy their gym sessions while staying safe.

Adult & Junior Gym Sessions

Would you like to bring your child to the gym for free?

Our Adult and Junior Gym sessions allow our pre-paid adults to bring a child to the gym for free. The booking must be made by an adult who books the Adult and Junior gym session with their membership. Juniors must be supervised by the adults at all times. Adult and junior gym sessions are available weekends 3-5pm. The adult must actually supervise the junior at all points, and must take responsibility for the child.

Only children between 11-17 are permitted into these sessions. The session is limited to one child per adult. If the adult isn’t supervising the child or the child misuses or misbehaves the both parties may be asked to leave.

 

Adult and Junior gym times:

Saturday & Sunday, 15:00-16:00 and 16:00-17:00

Junior Gym Rules

Juniors will have access to the majority of gym equipment including:

• Cardio machines (treadmills, cross-trainers, upright bikes, spin bikes, recumbent bikes and rowing machines) 
• Resistance machines* (chest press, chest fly, lateral row, cables pulley machines, leg press, hip adductor, hip abductor, lat pull down, shoulder press, leg extension, hamstring curl, & assisted chin-up) 
• Functional Area* (TRX ropes, kettle bells, bosu balls, skipping ropes, steps, slam balls, battle rope, plyo boxes, small free weights) 

Juniors are not able to access the free weights area. *Juniors are required to use the lightest weight plates when using the resistance machines.

Junior Basketball

Join us every Friday from 4:30 to 5:30pm for an energising session in the sports hall. Whether you're a member or visiting on a pay-as-you-go basis, it's a great way to stay active and have fun.

These sessions are included in monthly memberships or available to pay as you go.
