Festive Pickleball Festival!
The festive pickleball festival returns for a second year at the White Horse Leisure & Tennis Centre for Better leisure pickleball players. Come and experience playing Pickleball with and against people of a similar skill level for fun yet competitive games in the spirit of Christmas.
The festival is taking place on Tuesday 2nd December and will run from 12.30pm until 3.30pm. Registrations open from 12-12.15pm.
Entries will be split depending on ability level, but players won’t be restricted to these groups during the festival. This is a friendly event rather than a competition where players will be put into matches or can request to play with each other. There are three different types of ability level available:
- Beginner – players who are new to the sport or have just learned the game
- Recreational – players who are between the beginner and intermediate level, more interested in fun than winning
- Intermediate – players who are experienced in the game or more competitive
Booking is required and recommended ahead of the event and can be done through the Better UK app or online. Entry to the festival will cost £6.50 per person. This tournament is targeted at members of Better leisure centre or those who regularly attend pickleball sessions at the centres. Bookings open as per the below timeframe:
- Members – 14 days ahead of the event
- Non members – 10 days ahead of the event
Players are welcome to bring their own paddles or borrow one from the centre. Balls will be provided.
And finally, this is a festive pickleball festival so we encourage players to bring some Christmas joy with hats, tinsel or any other sparkle they want to add. Hot drinks and mince pies will be available through the event as well as some Christmas songs to accompany the match play.
