Active Holiday Clubs, who provide engaging and dynamic holiday programmes for children, is thrilled to announce an innovative partnership with ‘Better’ leisure centres across Oxfordshire.

This collaboration is set to transform how children in the local area stay active during school holidays, providing them with fun-filled, health-boosting experiences during every school break.

Recognising the crucial role of physical activity in fostering health and wellness in young people, Active Holiday Clubs – who operate under the umbrella of Oxford Active - is dedicated to redefining children's holiday experiences. The goal is to ensure that these experiences are not only enjoyable but also contribute positively to their overall health.

Numerous studies underscore the beneficial effects of exercise on physical and mental well-being. Through this partnership, Active Holiday Clubs is committed to harnessing the power of play and physical activity to provide a comprehensive holiday experience for children that extends beyond mere amusement.

"School holidays present a perfect opportunity to instil a love of an active lifestyle in children," says Wes Westaway, Managing Director for Active Camps. "Thanks to our partnership with Better leisure centres, our programmes are now accessible to all children aged 6 – 14 years in the area.”

Kate Mulrey, Better’s Community Sport Manager in the region, comments, “We’re delighted to be working with Active Holiday Clubs. Better is committed to supporting the wellbeing of local communities and these activities for kids are a brilliant way to add to that.”

With camps running from 8:30 am until 5:30 pm during the Easter and summer holidays, and prices starting at £35 for the whole day, why not give it a try?
