We are a nationally recognised performance centre offering a wide range of options. So whether you're looking to play casually or competitively, we cater for all your tennis needs. We have 6 indoor and 4 astro courts, and as one of the biggest tennis centres within the area of Abingdon, we aim to provide the perfect sessions for all levels of ability.
Tennis is a fantastic way to change up your usual gym workout, being a great sport for overall fitness. And most of all...it's FUN!
We offer a more structured session during the week which is aimed at 3-4 year olds (without parental participation). During these sessions, children participate in activities and games to help develop balance and hand-eye co-ordination, as well as more structured tennis coaching. The sessions are £35.20 per month payable via direct debit.

These sessions are aimed at children playing once a week with a ratio of 1 coach to 6 players. This allows players more coaching time to focus on practising their skills. They are payable monthly by direct debit and run all through the year apart from 2 weeks in the summer and 2 weeks at Christmas.

Squad lessons are aimed at children playing more than once a week and competing in tournaments. Players can only be invited to these sessions by our coaches usually from our lessons or our schools tennis outreach programme and the coach to player ratio is 1:5. We have various squad sessions available depending on a players age and ability for more information about our squad programme please contact sue.auger@gll.org
The White Horse Adult Programme is delivered by our full time, LTA qualified coaches. Although all of the sessions listed below are group based our coaches will endeavour to give individual feedback throughout all sessions.
If you think you would like to have a more bespoke experience, then you may like to benefit from some individual lessons with a member of the coaching team. If so please contact Sue (Tennis Manager) on the details provided at the bottom of the page.

Cardio Tennis is a fun, sociable, group fitness class open to people of all ages and abilities. Supported by music it is a great cardio workout and your trained coach will lead you through a 60 minute session. This will help not only improve your fitness levels, tone and shape muscle groups, burn calories but also improve your tennis skills and you get to meet new people in a fun and friendly environment We offer 3 sessions a week Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays 9-10am and they are £11.50 per session.
This session consists of an hour of technical coaching and match play for those over fifty still enjoying the sport. This is a busy social session and is a great way to make new friends as well as learning new skills. This is £11.50 per session.
We are very keen to encourage as many children as possible to play tennis. Through our outreach programme our coach’s visit as many of our local schools as possible offering free taster sessions and inviting children to our lessons with the possibility of them joining the programme.
Wheelchair Tennis
Wheelchairs provided. Inclusive session open to all, you do not have to be a wheelchair user. Tuesday 11am-12pm and Friday 6.30pm-8pm £4.20 per person. For more information contact Sue.Auger@GLL.Org
Visually Impaired Tennis

Down Syndrome/Learning Disability Tennis (Improvers)
Saturdays 10-11am
White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre in partnership with DS Active welcomes Down's Syndrome tennis to the Abingdon Centre.
The session runs term time only son Saturdays from 10-11am and is open to children aged 11-18 years.

Sport In Mind
Join us for a fun, welcoming, and relaxed tennis session run by Sport In Mind, the mental health sports charity. These sessions are designed for people experiencing mental health challenges, and are led by one of our friendly, supportive coaches who tailor activities to all abilities 0 - no previous experience needed!
