Community walks are back!
It was fantastic to see a good turnout for the first of our community walks in 2026.
These were a great addition to help get our members out in the fresh air and taking part in a different form of exercise to our normal gym workouts or fitness classes.
On Saturday 14th March, we took a group of members led my Tom and Ryan to walk around Chasewater country park for 3.2-mile walk. Luckily after a very wet winter we were greeted by some sunshine which helped make it even more enjoyable. We had over 20 people join us, and some furry companions even came along to soak up the sunshine! It was great to be able to spend time getting to chat to members and get to know you better. Thank you to everyone who came it was a pleasure to spend our Saturday morning with you.
With the return of spring and hopefully better weather to come we will be holding these walks every month, they are free to join, and you can bring friends and family along with you if you like.
Here are some reasons to come join us on our next community walk!
Walking outside offers significant physical, mental, and emotional health benefits, enhancing heart and lung function, reducing stress, and improving mood. Walking outdoors is shown to help reduce the risks of cardiovascular disease, lower blood pressure and strengthen the heart's ability to react to stress and activity.
It is shown getting outdoors even just for 10-15 minutes can significantly reduce stress levels. Sunlight exposure helps to regulate the circadian rhythm helping you get better sleep and feel more refreshed!
Please keep your eyes peeled for information regarding our next walk and where we will be holding it to be announced in the coming weeks.
