Hatfield Leisure Centre - Spinathon - Charity Spin
Sunday 12th of November 5 Full Classes back to back to raise awareness and funds for a local woman Dee Boyes, Dee has secondary breast cancer that has metastasized and spread to her Live.
Unfortunately she has been told it is terminal but is hopeful and on her 4th line of chemotherapy. Dee has a 17 year old Son who is soon to turn 18.
We are trying to raise funds to help provide them with enough financial security to make some amazing memories with what little time she has left with her son.
Hatfield Leisure Centre classes Instructor Cindy of whom is a dear friend and neighbour to Dee. Decided to do what she does best to help.
Gathering friends, members of Combat Gym St Albans and the Hatfield Leisure Centre to take part in a 5 hour spin class marathon.
Cindy and the Spin team managed to raise £665 on the day. Dee also has a go fund me page where the local community have been rallying together and donating to them for a ‘last hurrah’. Cindy and 9 out of 18 participants managed all 5 classes with high energy and smiles all round.
We would like to thank everyone for the participantion and Cindy directly for organising the fund raising for such a worthwhile cause.
